Play Atelier is a community designed for the way children play.

Our mission is to provide space and resources to support thoughtful family development through infancy, childhood, and beyond. We center our curated space and classes on research-based practices in early childhood development and parenting education. Play Atelier strengthens our already tight-knit community through opportunities for culture, creativity, and connection.

Our Principles

What is our local culture? How do our culture and values shape the children of our community and the families they belong to? Through education and exposure, we will identify and name what we value most in the upbringing of our children. The facility will be a space to explore music, art, sport, movement, food, stories and more. As the families of our community help define our local culture, the space will grow and change to reflect these discoveries.

Children are inherently creative. They express their creativities in their own languages (moving, mark making, vocalizing, building, etc.). By proving children with high quality materials and safe space, they can communicate and creatively express themselves. In line with the Reggio Emilia approach, the creative reuse of materials will be central to the studio space of Play Atelier.

It takes a village. Parenting in the absence of a village is an isolating, frustrating, overwhelming experience. Play Atelier aspires to create more than just a gathering place. At the heart of the mission is bringing families together through shared experiences and acommon culture.
